AdBlue^® consumption

Just like fuel consumption, AdBlue^® consumption varies between models and depends on a number of factors: the type of vehicle, the type of engine, traffic conditions, driving style, etc. You can use our simulator to estimate your consumption according to the vehicle make/model and your driving style.

Passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles made before 2018 consume between 0.7L and 2L of AdBlue^® per 1,000 km on average. Due to the introduction of stricter European standards, vehicles built after 2018 are expected to consume twice as much AdBlue^® on average.
